Dr De Silva is board certified in Internal Medicine and Bariatric Medicine and extensively trained and certified in Aesthetic Medicine and Federal Aviation Medicine. She attended Colombo Medical School in Sri Lanka, her country of origin, earning a degree in Medicine and Surgery with Honors. She did her residency training in both Internal Medicine and General Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Following her residency, she worked in the Emergency Department at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey. In 1995, Dr. De Silva established De Silva Medical Inc., her current private practice for Internal Medicine in the Antelope Valley.
She has professional training in the various fields of Aesthetic Medicine taught personally and certified by Dr. Zein Obagi, including The Concepts of Skin Health Care, Arque Derma, and The Artistic Restoration Lift. Dr. De Silva also has extensive training in Medical Weight Loss. Dr. De Silva launched her skin care branch, Skin Medicus, in 2004.
In 2009, she started the Bariatrics branch of her practice. Over the past twenty years, Dr. De Silva has served thousands of residents of the greater Antelope Valley community for Family Care, Internal Medicine, Aesthetic Medicine, Medical Weight Loss, and Aviation Medicine. She continues to accept new patients.
Dr. De Silva and her husband of over 30 years are the proud parents of three daughters. Outside of medicine and community service, her interests include traveling, theater, art, and interior design.
